Buckle up and take a drive into your next movie experience. Doc’s Drive In Theatre brings old school recreation into the 21st century with two drive-up movie screens, a full kitchen and beer and wine selections from the rooftop bar. Though a popular comeback during these socially distant times, to understand what makes Doc’s such a special place to visitors and locals alike you have to get to know the owners Chris and Sarah Denny.

With a genuine passion for putting smiles on every member of the family, they created Doc’s Drive In Theatre so that everything catered to families. From the movies they play to the themed tiny homes they have on-site, there is something for fans of all movie genres.

“When we think of Buda we think of friends and family, so that’s why we built the drive in here,” Denny said. “You feel like your family out here whether you’re going Downtown to old Buda or even walking into Cabela’s. Everyone is just nice and friendly and we wanted to add to it.”

As if the open environment wasn’t enough, their crafted food is delicious! Doc’s Diner offers a wide range of your favorites like brisket nachos and unique hot dogs. Not a meat-eater? They also serve up some delicious vegan and vegetarian options like their vegan chicken wings. And of course, you can indulge in all the movie theatre popcorn and candy you like. We can’t forget Mama Merlots, their rooftop bar, serving a selection of beers and wines to enjoy with your movie.

Insider tip: Want to bring more outdoor fun to your movie experience? They offer s’mores kits with your own little fire to make right at your car slot!
